"come watch me special my FX"

So Christmas has come and gone, in a blur of wrapping paper, family members, and too much wine gums for the stomach to handle (ps i used to work beside someone who could not eat wine gums for religious reasons). Had a great time, christmas eve was spent at dunfermlines favourite after school club, the watering hole, Im pretty sure it comes up on google images, its dainty. Went there with some pals and the girlfriend, did end up smelling like Rihanna due to Monty spilling Claires malibu and coke all over me, though he did buy her another the gentleman that he is, and it was packed so their was a lot of buttock sharing going on. Christmas day went to my aunts in the morning and realised that I am officially old and no longer the cutest member of the family (thats right folks, i once was, we are a pretty bunch) my cousin Declan is awesome, hes 3 and i was winding him up by wearing his wellies as gloves, and i dont know what there teaching 3 year olds nowadays but he was intelligent enough to know that wellies are not gloves, smart kid. Then went back to our house where my OTHER aunt from London came up with the grandparents, we played Wii, although the best game my little cousin Carter had for it was Boggle, and some of the words that game knows cant be real, anyone know what Fettles means? didnae hink so! me and claire retired early and i went round to hers for a lovely whistly orchestra of a boxing day meal, and i think i really struck gold with her dads present, back of the net. Watched Aladdin (probably the 3rd best disney film ever behind Lion King and Toy Story) and Wallace and Grommit, although not the one with the penguin chicken diamond theif who hangs about in our local pub.
This year i got in no particular older, some nice clothes, a hand made cinema going kit (amazing) in particular an ace where the wild things are t-shirt, some boxers and shorts, and some dollars, i also today purchased $490 with my hard earned GBP, not BNP siobhan! some cook books (which i have secretly been longing for) and some gooood cd's, twilight sads new album in particular!
I hope everyone else got lovely stuff and had a good one! and ate too much, the gym is ripping me off as i havent been going so im off to drink protein shakes and work on the guns with my gym buds. Toodles

ps anyone seen Avatar? basically pocahontas in space but still amazing!

pps my sisters boyfriend looks kinda like pocahontas, i call him smokey because he is from arbroath and they eat smokeys their, im funny.

Its beginning to look at lot like christmas

Well I know I keep promising to update this regularly, but i've been that busy lately i didnt really get time, plus I am quite a simple being and thus dont really think anyone would read this, but as my early alzhiemers sets in i feel i better keep it up so that when im old and grey and if the internet has not been rendered obselete i can remember how boring i was before i go down the pub and play some lawn bowls...oh yeah.

Its beginning to look a lot like christmas, and Ive bought 2 christmas presents, way to go. I still dont think it feels like christmas till the coco-cola advert comes on (what a consumer i know). I swear if i see Holly Willoughby and Fern Cotton pretending to be best pals on one more advert theres gonna be a riot...Holly can do much better than that!

So the past months went by pretty quick, at work ive got a new Team Manager who is supposed to be a total battleaxe, havent had the joy of meeting her yet though, sure i'll still hate the job.

On a more positive note have had some belting nights out this month, although the dramamometer can go off the chart in dunny f sometimes, Claire's sister Katies birthday was nice though didnt feel so good when out, probably cause i ate my body weight in dominoes pizza beforehand, but im putting it down to flu. man flu at that.
Just had a great weekend too though, stayed at the George Hotel In edinburgh on friday with Claire and it has the comfiest beds ever, i didnt even want to go out even though that was good! although i think that Espionage maybe used to be a coal mine, you just keep going further underground! and £4.70 for a single fish? not on my watch i tell you.

Band is getting me so excited i just want to record asap, although pretty much gave up on the learning bass front so if anyone knows somebody who plays give me a shout. Like anyone who's in a band i probably think we are much better than we are, but i cant wait till people finally hear our songs even if it is looking like our first demo could be like chinese democracy. sure ill blog the fuck out of it when we do! can anyone think of a good band name? we are struggling seriously, answers on a postcard.

rediscovered my love of snow patrol this month, hadnt really listened to the new album cause it just got kinda panned when it came out but it does have some of their best songs and they always sound kinda fresh, maybe not the coolest band in the world but still one of my favourites, all their songs remind me of something too. Also did anyone see Cheryl Cole doing the duet with them for children in need? no Martha Wainwright but not just a pretty face.. i tip my hat to you Miss Cole.

Got Modest Mouse on thursday too, never seen them before, should be dainty, Mr Brine has been posted missing of late plus Siobhans Birthday! peace out

Except their not that cheap...and not for Vegas.

Its been ages since my last post, not that I think anyone reads this, but i will hereby endeavour to post more often. there you have it. In the words of stevie wonder "signed, sealed, delivered, Im yours"

So I still hate my job, but anyone who knows me will know that.

I am increasingly loving the progress on the musical front, feels like forever since I was in a band that wrote songs and I've really missed the feeling, glad Im doing it with the people I am, cant wait to see where that takes us, watch this space. We also finally found a drummer and he is ace and hairy and from New Zealand, top bombing. I have made all the progress It ever feels like I will on learning bass, none...but i shall buy one and hopefully persevere end of this month, but im hoping we will record by end of Jan.

Recently i went and watched fireworks with Claire, found out my dog is shit scared of fireworks, went and seen Frightened Rabbit & Rod Jones who were ace, found out "Dotie" is probably the cutest child I've ever seen, and handed out some advice. (which i hate doing as i cant help but feel like im being condesending, but recipient of said advice is a great friend and greater listener than I, hope i got my point across without being a prick)

Also planned a bit of a jaunt which will hopefully take place in June next year for about 8-9 weeks with my good pals Fordy, Siobhan, and Dee. We plan to make our way from Vegas in some sort of semi-circle/croissant shaped route all the way through California, Oregon, and then to Seattle, whilst maybe getting sidetracked in Houston and Hawai (where Claire will hopefully join us because she will be earning top dollar in Elgin)Yes, November has been eventful thus far and with all that on the horizon and Christmas coming up my pockets are quacking in fear of the emptiness that will follow.

PS Claire is in Elgin right now preparing for a job interview and whilst i will miss having to give up buying sweets in exchange for bus fare i really hope she gets it!

A blog for blogging purposes

So i finally sold out and joined the world of blogging, just as a general keep track of what im doing so i probably wont post for a while after this! This week has been ace, found out the cello is officially the sexiest sounding instrument in the world, went to see my girlfriend get her degree, danced one too many strip the willows at her grad ball (thats basically a dance where everyone dances with everyone at some point, kinda like when that "cotton eye joe" song came on when you little, basically just burling folk round as fast as you can), FINALLY found transformers on DVD, i say found..my girlfriend (hereafter called Claire) got me it. Only down point is that all my friends are at T in the Park, Im not too fussed about missing it, but I'd still rather be there than work. I accidently right clicked on something at work today when a message popped up on screen telling me I "do not have permission to right click"!!!? I about right clicked its LCD face i tell you, We've all seen Terminator people, only a matter of time before its a reality now their telling us what we have permission to do. As you can see folks, these are exciting times in the McGlone world indeed, over and ouuuuuuut.
